Marcelo Celebrates 10 Years at Real Madrid

Marcelo Celebrates 10 Years at Real Madrid

Ten years ago today you stepped onto the pitch at the Santiago Bernabéu for the first time on the day of your presentation; since then, you have matured and become a first rate player. Without a doubt, I am proud to be your agent and proud that you form part of RR Soccer Management Agency.

At 18, you were still a teenager when you arrived and thanks to your hard work and humility you have become one of the best defenders in the world. Since then, you have played 372 official matches, scored 26 goals and you have won everything: 2 Champions Leagues, 3 La Liga titles, 2 Copas del Rey, 2 European Super Cups, 2 Spanish Supercups and 1 Club World Cup. What’s more, you have twice been selected as part of the FIFA FIFPro World XI.

But what really makes you great is not your impressive roll of honours, but your own personality. You work hard to improve every day and always do so with a smile, the same one you showed when you started playing football in Brazil as a kid.

This morning you received a well-deserved tribute at the Santiago Bernabéu. It has been a pleasure to accompany you and share this moment with you.

And there’s still plenty of football left in your boots. Congratulations on so many years at the elite level, and I hope you continue to win trophies while enjoying this sport you are so passionate about.

Sergio Ramos Wins His 140th Cap for the Spanish National Team

Sergio Ramos, represented by René Ramos, President of RR-Soccer Management Agency, made his 140th appearance for the Spanish National Team in the match against Albania on 9 October.

The Camas-born defender made his début with the senior national team on 26 March 2005 in a friendly against China. The record for these 140 encounters is 105 (75%) wins, 17 draws and 18 defeats. In addition, Sergio has racked up 10 goals.

The current captain has become a key player for the different coaches over these years, and was a vital part of the all-conquering teams at two European Championships (Austria-Switzerland 2008 and Poland-Ukraine 2012) and one World Cup (South Africa 2010).

Congratulations, Sergio. We hope you can continue to wear the Spain shirt on many more occasions and contribute to winning more titles.

Juan Muñoz Makes Loan Move to Zaragoza

Juan Muñoz Makes Loan Move to Zaragoza

Juan Muñoz has completed his loan move to Real Zaragoza. The forward will spend the 2016/17 season with Los Maños on loan from Sevilla.  With the aim of furthering his development at one of the biggest clubs in the history of Spanish football, he’ll contribute his skilful play and eye for goal towards reaching the team’s objectives.  Last season, the attacker showed signs of his promise and earned a new contract with Sevilla up to 2019.

He displayed his goalscoring instinct by taking advantage of the minutes he was given, scoring twice for Sevilla: first in the Copa del Rey against Mirandés and also on the final day of La Liga against Athletic Bilbao.

A 20-year-old striker, Juan Muñoz was born in Utrera (Seville) and has been competing at a high level in the Sevilla under-age ranks since he was 16. Enthusiastic and with an eye for goal, he’ll add ambition, competitiveness and great quality to the front line at Zaragoza, who are aiming for promotion back to the top flight this year.

We wish you the very best in this new stage of your career, Juan. Playing with Zaragoza is a big challenge and a great responsibility, but we’re sure that with your ambition and hard work, you will give it your all.

May you continue to progress!

Second European Super Cup for Sergio Ramos and Marcelo

The European Super Cup Final took place yesterday at Trondheim’s Lerkendal Stadion (Norway). Played between Real Madrid and Sevilla FC, the final ended in a 3-2 victory for Los Blancos. Sergio Ramos and Marcelo, both represented by RR Soccer Management Agency, collected their second European Super Cup title after tasting success in 2014.

Both players started for the side coached by Zinedine Zidane. The Camas-born defender levelled the tie at 2-2 in the 93rd minute to take the game to extra time, which ended with a victory for Real Madrid. What’s more, Sergio was also presented with the Man of the Match award.

And so, Ramos and Marcelo continue to collect European titles to add to their record after winning their second Champions League on 28 May last. Congratulations to you both and we hope that you can continue to win titles this season.

Historic Night in Milan: Sergio and Marcelo Win their Second UEFA Champions League

Historic Night in Milan: Sergio and Marcelo Win their Second UEFA Champions League

On Saturday 28 May, Real Madrid were crowned champions of Europe for the eleventh time. Sergio Ramos and Marcelo, both represented by RR Soccer Management Agency, collected their second UEFA Champions League medals.

Winning this tournament is no easy feat. Many great players have finished their careers without ever achieving the title. Winning a UEFA Champions League is within reach of very few footballers. To win two is reserved for an even more select group.

Sergio, brother, what can I tell you that you don’t know already? You deserve everything that has come your way. You never had anything handed to you and I’m sure that you’ll continue with same ambition and dedication to keep winning titles. I can’t describe the emotions we felt in the stands of the San Siro when you scored the final’s opening goal. Words are not enough. Those of us who know you are certain that you won’t drop the pace and that you will continue to compete with the same intensity and ambition as when you kicked a ball around Camas.

Marcelo, you are also a fundamental part of this Real Madrid team. I saw you suffer and grit your teeth in extra time. You gave everything up to the last drop of sweat, as you always do. You are an exemplary athlete, on and off the field, and I am especially pleased that you played in this final as a starter and you can treasure the memory of this title forever.

Sergio and Marcelo, I hope you both go on to win many more titles. It is an honour to represent you both.

Sergio Ramos launches new website

Sergio Ramos launches new website

This morning, Sergio Ramos launched his new website: www.sergioramos.com. As his agent, I have been actively involved in the process of developing the site. There have been many months of hard work, recording and production, but I think the final product is a worthy reflection of the countless hours dedicated to the project.

The world of professional sport is making great strides in terms of communication and marketing and here at RR Soccer Management Agency, we believe a consolidated digital identity to be essential and an attractive website is, therefore, an indispensable tool.

In the case of Sergio, this is an innovative site, with a strong interactive element, new formats and extensive audiovisual content that gives visitors a never-before-seen glimpse at aspects of his life and personality. In addition to live updates from Sergio’s social media profiles, you can see the major landmarks in his career and statistics and data updated in real time. Ultimately, fans all over the world will be able to get to know Sergio better, both in his professional and personal life: his passion for horses, his love of music and his family.

I cannot forget all those who participated in the site: coaches, teammates, friends and family… thank you all for your efforts in contributing to Sergio’s story, of which you are all a fundamental part.

The launch date of www.sergioramos.com is certainly no coincidence. What better day than your 30th birthday? I hope you enjoyed these videos I’ve prepared with several of your friends. You’re a much loved person, it must be for something. Keep it up, brother.

Juan Muñoz extends his contract with Sevilla FC up to 2019

Juan Muñoz extends his contract with Sevilla FC up to 2019

Juan Muñoz will continue to fulfil his childhood dream of playing with the Sevilla FC first team. The canterano has signed a three year contract extension with the Nervión club which will see him remain in Sevilla’s first team ranks until at least 30 June 2019.

Having played under-age football with local side Club Deportivo Utrera, the striker made his début with Sevilla Atlético Club at the age of just 17. Thanks to his hard work and impressive performances, he made his senior début in the Copa del Rey in December 2014 and saw his first La Liga appearance in February 2015, just months after his 19th birthday. This season, he made his Champions League début on 30 September against Juventus in Turin.

With the support of the club, his team mates and the supporters, and the confidence he’ll take from this contract extension, Juan Muñoz is intent on continuing his development as a footballer and continuing to make history with the club that has seen him mature: «I have a philosophy that is hard work, humility and sacrifice. After that, whether I play or not is the manager’s decision. I’m here for whatever I’m needed for, on or off the pitch.»

René Ramos, Juan Muñoz’s agent and President of the RR Soccer Management Agency, wished to highlight that «without doubt, this extension is well deserved on the basis of the hard work, consistency and talent of a canterano that really feels a passion for the Sevilla colours and will continue to give his all for the club.»

René also added that «of course, it has been a long process in which all the parties involved found common ground that was to stay with Sevilla FC, and I appreciate the efforts that have been made by the club so that Juan will remain at the club.»

A Special Night with Sergio and Marcelo at the Ballon d’Or Ceremony in Zurich

A Special Night with Sergio and Marcelo at the Ballon d’Or Ceremony in Zurich

Yesterday I had the opportunity to travel to Zurich (Switzerland) for the Ballon d’Or and FIFA/FIFProWorld XI 2015 award ceremony.

Sergio Ramos and Marcelo, both of whom I represent, have been selected by professional footballers all over the world that make up the International Federation of Professional Footballers (FIFPro) to be included in the FIFPro World XI 2015.

It is particularly gratifying for me that they have been selected by their own fellow professionals. In Sergio’s case, this is his sixth inclusion. How time flies, brother! So much has happened since you first received this accolade in 2008. Without a doubt, this is recognition of your hard work and consistency over all these years. It’s not easy to stay at such a high level for so many seasons.

sergio

This is Marcelo’s second inclusion. Your passion for football makes you unique on and off the pitch. I’m so pleased by this award and hope it helps you maintain the same level of ambition and motivation you demonstrate season after season.

marcelo

My warmest congratulations to both of you, this recognition is the fruit of the work you both put in every day. Wishing you a season in which you continue to achieve further success.

This past Sunday 20 December, during the encounter between Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano, on Matchday 16 of La Liga, Jonathan Montiel became the youngest player to appear in the Primera División, when he stepped onto the turf of the Santiago Bernabéu at the age of 17 years and 108 days.

It was another step forward in his football career, linked with the Franjirrorjo since the 2010/2011 season when he made his debut with the Youth B side. Jonathan hopes to continue to grow and learn with the team coached by Paco Jémez.
