Marcelo Vieira renews his contract with Real Madrid up to 2022

The Brazilian international, represented by René Ramos, President of RR-Soccer Management Agency, has signed a contract extension with Real Madrid that will keep him at the club until 30 June 2022.

Marcelo joined the club in the winter transfer window of the 2006-2007 season and, since then, has made a total of 415 competitive appearances. The full back is in his twelfth season at the club and has become vice captain and one of the leaders of the team on and off the pitch.

His honours include 3 Champions League titles, 3 European Super Cups, 2 Club World Cups, 4 La Liga titles, 2 Copa del Rey titles and 3 Spanish Supercups.

This contract extension means that Marcelo, who is currently the foreign player who has spent the most seasons at Real Madrid, will reach 16 seasons in the white shirt.

Keep up the great work and continue to enjoy your football, Marcelo. Congratulations!
